PROGRAM EVALUATION REPORT

The MomSkwela Program was implemented with the first batch of parish partnership with San Pedro Calungsod–Quasi Parish in Poblacion, Muntinlupa, with the aim of empowering mothers through a holistic and values-based formation process. Designed to address personal growth, financial responsibility, parenting, cheerful homes and spousal  relationships, the program comprises five research-based content in five  modules. Each module progressively builds on knowledge, skills and values  in real-life contexts.

From the beginning of the program until its completion, 31 participants/ mothers demonstrated  high level of commitment and engagement. Attendance remained consistent, discussions were interactive, and all required outputs were completed with dedicated attention. The overall atmosphere of the sessions was one of openness, mutual respect, and willingness to learn.

Module 1: Journey Within

The first module, Journey Within, served as the foundation and beginning of the entire program. It focused on self-awareness, emotional reflection, and personal understanding. Our guest speaker, Ms. Boots Estrada guided the participant Mothers through experiential learning that encouraged them to look inward, recognize their strengths, acknowledge their challenges, and articulate their personal goals.

Participants responded positively to this module. The lesson that was most helpful for the participants was the “Importance of Self Awareness and Discovery”. Reflection note-taking and sharing activities revealed a deep sense of honesty and self-discovery. Many mothers claimed that this module helped them better understand their emotions, personal experiences, and roles not only as mothers but as individuals. The outputs submitted reflected thoughtfulness, clarity, and a genuine desire for growth.

Module 2: Money Matters

The Money Matters module aimed to equip participants with practical financial knowledge essential for managing household resources. Topics included budgeting, prioritizing expenses, saving, and responsible financial decision-making.

MomSkwela participants actively engaged in financial literacy exercises and completed budgeting worksheets and savings plans. Outputs demonstrated a clear understanding of the concepts discussed and showed readiness to apply these lessons within their households. Several participants shared during mentoring chats that they had already begun adjusting their spending habits and financial planning as a result of this module.

Module 3: Character Building and Katatagan sa Bata

This module focused on character formation and the importance of nurturing resilience and emotional strength in children. Discussions centered on values, positive discipline, emotional support, and building a stable environment for child development.

Participants were highly engaged, often sharing personal parenting experiences and challenges. Outputs such as parenting action plans reflected thoughtful application of the lessons. Mothers demonstrated increased awareness of their role in shaping their children’s character and resilience, and many expressed renewed commitment to intentional and values-based parenting.

Module 4: Spousal Relationship

The Spousal Relationship module addressed the dynamics between husbands and wives,  partners, emphasizing communication, understanding, respect, and shared responsibility within the family. This module provided a safe space for participants to reflect on their relationships and explore ways to strengthen their partnership with their spouses.

Participants showed openness and maturity during discussions and reflection activities. Outcomes  included communication plans and personal commitments aimed at improving spousal relationships. Feedback gathered during mentoring chats indicated that many mothers were able to immediately apply the lessons learned, leading to more open communication and improved understanding at home.

Module 5: Family Design (Integrative Workshop)

The final module, Family Design, served as the culminating activity of the program. This workshop integrated insights and lessons from all previous modules, allowing participants to create a comprehensive family vision and action plan.

The outputs from this module were notably strong and substantive. As part of the culminating activity, the mother-participants developed a reflective collage illustrating the key learnings they gained from the previous modules, as well as their vision and aspirations for their families. Their Family Design Plans demonstrated evident personal growth, sound financial planning, strengthened values formation, healthy relationship building, and clearly defined long-term goals. The integration of all four prior modules was distinctly manifested in their outputs, underscoring the effectiveness of the program’s structure, progression, and overall design.

Participant Engagement and Mentoring Support

The key strength of the MomSkwela Program is the consistent and effective mentoring support provided throughout its duration. Mentors were highly engaged, proactive, and responsive, particularly through mentoring chats. They regularly followed up on participant progress, provided timely feedback, and offered encouragement and guidance.

Mother participants expressed appreciation for the mentors’ availability and dedication. This strong mentor-participant relationship contributed significantly to sustained engagement, quality outputs, and the overall success of the program.

Overall Assessment and Conclusion

The MomSkwela Program stands as a meaningful journey of formation, empowerment, and hope. Through the completion of all five modules, mothers actively engaged in reflection, skill-building, and personal integration—experiencing not only learning, but inner transformation. The program created a nurturing space where mothers grew in confidence, strengthened family relationships, and embraced their vital role as builders of the home.

This initiative affirms that when mothers are supported and  accompanied with structured guidance, compassionate mentoring, and values-centered formation, they become powerful agents of positive change in their families and communities. The strong participation of mothers, the quality of their outputs, and the dedicated performance of mentors demonstrate the program’s impact and relevance.

With sustained partnership and continued support from stakeholders, MomSkwela shows strong potential for long-term sustainability and expansion—contributing to the formation of resilient families and future community leaders.
